I train in the Avi-Lites and race in the Avi-Bolts.

Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel – gear engineered to keep athletes cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout. The technology behind Under Armour’s diverse product assortment for men, women and youth is complex, but the program for reaping the benefits is simple: wear HeatGear® when it’s hot, ColdGear® when it’s cold, and AllSeasonGear® between the extremes.

Under Armour’s mission is to provide the world with technically advanced products engineered with our superior fabric construction, exclusive moisture management, and proven innovation. Every Under Armour product is doing something for you; it’s making you better.

I train and race in Under Armour gear and use it to help me recover.

blueseventy is a kickass brand making the best triathlon wetsuits on the market. I’m a crap swimmer and when it’s a non-wetsuit swim I’m in trouble cause the 2011 Helix is a super wetsuit for a crap swimmer like me (It must be good for fast swimmers too)… I was really surprised when I used the new helix for the first time; It makes you feel fast; its because you are!

I enlisted in the NZ Army out of school and entered the Kippenberger University Scheme where I completed a Bachelor of Business Studies at Massey University before graduating as an Officer. I trained as a Logistics Officer in posts in Linton and Waiouru Military Camp and exercises and exchanges to Australia and Britain where I worked with the British Army. In recent years I took a post to Recruiting to allow me to work reduced hours (and reduced pay!) in order to spend more time training. The Army have been very supportive of my triathlon endeavors. The Army has taught me about discipline, self sacrifice, and the pursuit of excellence.

Kent at KentsBikes in Auckland has been a great support. The place in New Zealand to go to get a super-fast Kestrel 4000; just like my Philomena! www.kentsbikes.co.nz
